Owens Christian Preparatory Academy (OCPA) utilizes the Georgia Performance Standards and Purposeful Design Bible curriculum for all students. This is the Georgia Department of Education and the Association of Christian Schools International approved curriculum for all public and private Christian schools. Most of our students come to us from public schools and other private schools.  Therefore, they are very familiar with the curriculum components in core subjects of math, science, English/language arts, and social studies offered in both general and advanced placement courses. Physical Education/Health, Spanish, Leadership Development, Hebrew and Technology are taught 8-10 weeks of a semester. Our class sizes are small with a student to teacher ratio of not more than 10 students to 1 teacher and an assistant. We provide one on one attention and instruction throughout each school day.

One on One instruction with students

We have a state of the art technology with wireless internet and other resources, an updated library, and an area designated for physical education and other school activities and functions.

Students work in library with teacher assistance.

Because we employ a highly structured, research-based model of teaching and learning, our curriculum includes very small classes, life skills courses such as conflict resolution, time management, study skills and character education. Our supplemental courses include leadership development, technology, theology, and international studies. We have an outstanding apprentice work program for students of working age (14 and up) to begin earning their own income.

Students' grades are reported to parents every 4 weeks for progress reports and every 8 weeks for report cards. Parents may schedule conferences on an as needed basis.
